At the estuary of the Charente is the Madame Island, the smallest of the Charente Islands. To the North, the Island of Aix awaits you with its 600 m wide by 3 km long crescent-shaped coastline. Among other things, discover its forts (including the most famous Fort Boyard), but also Fort Liedot and the Fort de la Rade. Further North, you will find the Island of Ré with its 100 km long coastline, sandy and pebble beaches, marshes and cliffs. Further South, the Island of Oléron is the largest metropolitan French island after Corsica and measures 34 km long and 12 km wide
The port of the Saint-Nazaire-sur-Charente marina offers 80 moorings. Open from 1 April through 31 October: the rest of the year, you can winter your boat in our port of Soubise.
