In Anglet, you will enjoy both the famous long beaches and the beautiful promenade on the cliff top to the lighthouse in Cap Saint-Martin.  This 19th century lighthouse marks the boundaries between Anglet and Biarritz. Down the cliff, you can visit the grotto of the Chambre d’Amour. A tale tells the fateful romance of two turtledoves,Laorens, a poor orphan, and Saubade, daughter of a rich farmer. They met in the grotto, despite having been forbidden by the father. And finally they were swept out to sea by the wild breakers of the Atlantic.

You could visit Biarritz and Bayonne. In Bayonne, do not miss the Saint Marie Cathedral in Bayonne which is registered in the Unesco Word Heritage. Walk dwon the street in the old town. And if you are here in August, enjoy the Bayonne festival. In Biarritz, enjoy the sunny weather of the city where  Napoléon III and Eugénie used to come. Visit the Impéral Chapel build by Eugénie, the Casino, the fishing port, or even the « Rocher de la Vierge… »
In the north of Anglet, walk to the long sand beaches along the famous pine tree forest.
In the south, enjoy the landscape of the protected basque ledge, down the Rhune, where the moutains plummet the sea. You could visit  Saint-Jean-De-Luz, Hendaye or Ciboure, beautiful basques cities. Finally you could fish in the Golf de Gascogne well-known for anchovies, hakes or soles.
