A prime location at the gates of Stockholm

Easy access marina

As the newest addition to the European Port Adhoc network, Gåshaga Marina is situated on the eastern tip of Lidingö – a residential Swedish island of around 50,000 inhabitants, known for its beautiful surroundings, natural spaces, and easy access from Stockholm.

For over twenty years, Gåshaga Marina has welcomed both motorboat and sailing enthusiasts, who can reach the marina easily by sea or by road.

From central Stockholm, for example, it takes just 20 minutes by car or public transport (train and metro). This convenience attracts local residents looking to sail without venturing far from home, as well as visitors enjoying a stroll along the quays.

A perfect starting point for the archipelago

Gåshaga Marina is a popular departure point for navigating into the Stockholm archipelago, with sailors regularly setting off for short or medium-length trips, often at weekends. Many are local residents who keep their boats moored in summer and take advantage of high-quality winter storage services off-season. Indeed, Gåshaga Marina offers winter storage spaces ashore, both outdoor and indoor, in an heated or unheated shed.

The marina maintains a friendly, lively atmosphere throughout the year.

Jonas and Fanny: the marina’s go-to-contacts for boaters

Gåshaga Marina caters to sailors seeking accessible, well-organised, and welcoming moorings or storage. Day-to-day operations are managed by Jonas Fundin and Fanny Berg, who are the primary points of contact for boaters:

  • Fanny handles the marina’s administrative aspects and supports users year-round.
  • Jonas brings technical expertise in boat handling and the shipyard operations.

They are assisted by a team of skilled technicians to ensure smooth operations.

Gåshaga Marina in a nutshell

When asked about the marina, Jonas and Fanny shared:

“What sets Gåshaga Marina apart is its proximity to the capital and its excellent location – from here, you can easily reach some of the most beautiful sailing areas in the Stockholm archipelago! We also focus on providing a high-quality experience and top-notch services to our boaters. That is our priority.”

Gåshaga Marina also stands out for its wintering options, offering storage spaces in a heated hangar to protect the boats of conscientious owners.

Two decades of service to boaters

Founded in 2002 to offer a functional, well-equipped marina for local sailors, Gåshaga Marina has steadily grown over the years. A shipyard was included to assist boaters with maintenance, alongside winter storage services.

With Port Adhoc now taking over, the marina’s development is set to continue, strengthened by the group’s expertise in managing marinas.

Facilities and services at the Swedish port

Gåshaga Marina: berths and boat capacity

On the island of Lidingö, Gåshaga Marina has around 300 moorings. These are ideal for boaters wanting to keep their boats close to Stockholm during the summer season. In winter, the marina provides storage space for approximately 180 boats. The facilities are designed to accommodate all types of monohulls, meeting the varied needs of local sailors.

Whether you own a family boat, a cruising yacht or a more technical vessel, you will always be welcome at this new marina in our network!

Technical and handling equipment

To ensure the launching, moving and lifting of boats, the port agents at Gåshaga Marina work with a Roodberg trailer. Within the Swedish port, the equipment can handle units weighing up to 40 tonnes, or approximately 70-foot. This technical capacity guarantees safe handling of boats and facilitates the work of our teams.

Maintenance, repair and winter storage services

When it comes to preparing, maintaining and protecting boats, the Gåshaga Marina team offers a wide range of services to assist you:

The professionals at the marina carry out general maintenance and complete winter storage for boats. When certain maintenance or repair services cannot be carried out directly, our agents call on trusted partners who are recognised in their fields. MICAB Marin, for example, provides expertise in engines of all brands.

Finally, when you use our indoor, heated, unheated or outdoor winter storage solutions, our team also offers complete protection for your boat by covering it with a protective cover.

Marina life

Beyond the technical services provided to boaters, the Gåshaga marina is a lively spot for Lidingö residents and visitors.

The port restaurant and summer café contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a drink or a stroll by the water, whether or not you’re sailing. Coastal paths and a small beach on the island further enhance the area’s appeal.

Development projects

Joining the Port Adhoc network opens up new opportunities, giving sailors access to benefits across Europe, including Svinninge Marina in Sweden, as well as locations in the Netherlands and France. Port Adhoc’s experience in managing marinas will help modernise the customer experience and provide comprehensive support to crews.
