New name, same commitment: Thuishavens becomes Port Adhoc Nederland

As of today, marina group Thuishavens will continue under the name Port Adhoc Nederland and the marinas will launch a new logo. This is an important milestone in the development of the new European marina network of which the Dutch ports are part. The name rebranding is a logical consequence of an integration process that started in 2019.

In 2019, the French marina operator Port Adhoc took over the management of the Thuishavens Group (ed: Jachthaven Naarden, Jachthaven Bruinisse and Marina Muiderzand), previously managed by the den Daas family. As part of the Group's growth strategy, Lelystad Haven quickly joined the network in 2021 and DEKO Marina Lelystad followed at the beginning of this year 2023. The network now has a total of 12 marinas, including 7 in France.

With more than 4,500 berths in the Netherlands, Port Adhoc Nederland is the largest private marina group in the country. It intends to continue to expand its network of marinas in Europe, in order to offer its yachtsmen as many new destinations as possible and to facilitate the mobility of its member-customers throughout Europe for new nautical adventures.

Jorin Bijl was recently appointed General Manager of Port Adhoc Nederland.

"I am looking forward to contribute to the further growth of Port Adhoc's European Marina network. Not only through acquisition, but also by further developing modern - and digital marina infrastructures, Port Adhoc can continue to evolve. Professionalising processes and developing new services at the marinas, will help prepare Port Adhoc for the future. My experiences within the hospitality sector and in terms of scaling up while maintaining personal identity, will prove very useful in achieving our short- and long-term vision."

On the marinas, the rebranding will be done in stages. Indeed, the Group Port Adhoc wants to proceed to the renewal of all its communication supports in a reasoned way, by limiting to the maximum the waste. This is why the promotional tools will be renewed progressively in order to use up stocks of flags, signs and brochures. Since last year, the website has been redesigned to create a single entry point for all the Group's European ports, and DEKO Marina Lelystad recently joined them with the launch of a new page.

About the Group Port Adhoc

Port Adhoc has been a private leader in the management and development of marinas in France and Europe for over 15 years. Today, the company operates 12 marinas in France and the Netherlands, representing a total of 10,000 berths. In this evolving market, Port Adhoc has the ambition to transform its marinas into travel and leisure destinations, not only for yachtsmen but also for a wider transgenerational public. This is why the group is developing and deploying innovative commercial management tools and port facilities that will enable it to offer new experiences to boaters.
