Tramontane, Libeccio, Lombardy, Levant, Sirocco, Meltem... Winds change from an region to another and, depending on the sailing area, it's important to be aware of them. The Mistral, for instance, is often appreciated by sailors, but it can gets up very suddenly and be violent. Better watch out!
