Diesel pump & environmental station

Disposing of your waste water tank in a responsible way is very easy at our environmental station. Refuelling with diesel is also no problem — you are at the right address with us.

Diesel pump: environmentally friendly refuelling

Jachthaven Strijensas has been supplying diesel at the water for decades. Since 2021, a completely new 5,000-litre fuel tank has been installed and a more environmentally friendly alternative has been chosen. This diesel, called Blue Diesel, also known as HVO50, is a very suitable alternative for every water sports enthusiast. Good for the environment, but also for the engine. Read the specifications via the link below:

Waste water pump

Since 1 October 2019, a new regulation has been in force regarding the discharge of toilet water from recreational vessels. Discharging in marinas had already been prohibited for some time, but discharging into rivers and inland waters is now also prohibited. Your waste water tank must be emptied using a shore-based waste water pump connected to the sewer system. Obtain a token from the harbour master’s office to use the waste water pump.

Bilge pump

If oil-contaminated water is present in your bilge, it is prohibited to discharge this water into open water using your onboard bilge pump. We offer the possibility to pump out oil-contaminated bilge water using our shore-based pump. This pump is connected to an underground filtration system that separates oil from water. Obtain a token from the harbour office to use the bilge pump.

De Bootschap

Everything within reach. For your convenience, starting April 1, 2026, we have set up a mini market in our watersports shop offering basic groceries and everyday essentials. This allows you to arrive relaxed and immediately enjoy your stay.

Destination Strijensas

Discover Strijensas

Discover Strijensas and its surroundings. A beautiful area in the Hoeksche Waard with many walking and cycling routes. From Jachthaven Strijensas, the nature reserve “De Oeverlanden” is within easy reach. Take a pleasant evening walk and perhaps spot a real beaver, or head out for the entire day and explore a large part of the Hoeksche Waard.

Nature reserve De Oeverlanden

Like its larger sibling, the Biesbosch, the Oeverlanden Hollands Diep area is a unique freshwater tidal zone in South Holland. The Oeverlanden stretch from Numansdorp to Strijensas and offer unspoilt nature with reed beds, open water, channels, creeks, outer dike nature areas and willow forests. Thanks to the tidal influence, you will find here a rare combination of ebb and flow in freshwater, ideal for nature lovers and birdwatchers.

The area is perfect for walking, cycling and horse riding, with various routes and paths running from east to west through the Oeverlanden. The most special aspect is that in many areas you are also allowed to roam off the paths, allowing you to enjoy crossing birds, special plants such as marsh marigold and summer snowflake, and the authentic Dutch polder landscape. The Oeverlanden are part of Natura 2000, the European network of valuable protected natural areas.

For visitors, there is a special map with walking, cycling and canoe routes, available at Jachthaven Strijensas when hiring a canoe. Marina visitors can also collect the map from the harbour master’s office, allowing you to discover the most beautiful routes through the Oeverlanden Hollands Diep yourself.

Strijen

Strijen is a characteristic village in the Hoeksche Waard, where history, landscape and life by the water come together. The village breathes the atmosphere of the classic South Holland polder landscape, with charming streets, monumental farms and a close-knit village community. From Strijen you are immediately surrounded by vast meadows, dikes and waterways, making it an ideal base for nature lovers, walkers and watersports enthusiasts seeking peace and authenticity.

On the edge of the village lies the Oudeland of Strijen, a special protected nature and meadow bird area. This open polder landscape is known for its rich birdlife and changing seasons. In winter, large groups of geese gather here, while in spring species such as the black-tailed godwit, redshank and lapwing bring the area to life. A walking path runs around the Oudeland and offers sweeping views over the grasslands, where silence and space dominate — a place to truly unwind in the nature of the Hoeksche Waard.
